“I made you! I taught you everything you know! How to dress.”- American Gigolo.

Everyone loves a well-dressed man in a silk suit. Well this year one of our own peers at Academy of Art showcased this style at New York Fashion Week. He brought a new meaning a well-dressed man.

Didvik Kuang made a statement while debuting his menswear collection for the Academy of Art. He focused on the pure sexiness of the classic 1980’s movie American Gigolo that stared an 80’s heartthrob Richard Gere. With this inspired wardrobe it screams effortless cool that you want to see in every young man.

I personally love when fashion is inspired by movies or music. I connected with this collection by being able to see Kuang inspiration through out the runway. The use of layer looks and oversized clothing add a touch of fresh to this upcoming season. The use of linen, nylon and suede was heavily used in his collection to capture the true essence of this legendary movie about lust and money.

Didvik Kuang has made his official entrance in the fashion industry. I can’t wait to see what else he brings to this industry.
