Dry Skin is the worst.

So do you suffer from dry skin in the wintert season? Oh, the cold weather is the worst for me! My skin hates it!! This weather causes these nasty dry patches around my nose and forehead area.

Here is why dry skin comes out in the winter:

While the harshness outside might bring a rosy glow to your cheeks and nose, the freezing temperatures and low humidity can also leave your skin dried out, flakey or itchy. This being said, the worst culprit when it comes to seasonal dry skin isn’t the temperature outdoors; it’s inside your own home. Cold weather outside results in you turning the heat on inside, which ultimately dries out your skin regardless of the way in which you heat your home.

My favorite wellness and beauty blog HBFIT.com has gave some tips on how to help your skin look amazing in the winter! Hannah Bronfman, will always be our favorite blogger! Here are a few tips! Hopefully this will help you and me!!
Winter Dry Skin Remedies
Dry skin isn’t something you can prevent, exactly, but with a few smart tips in mind, you’ll notice it’s looking brighter during those long, dark days.
·       Switch to an oil-based or gel moisturizer: While a water-based moisturizer is perfect and lightweight for the spring and summer months, it might not be enough to get your skin through the winter. Instead, switch to an oil-based moisturizer like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.
·       Wash with warm water: It might feel nice to wash with hot water and steam your pores after a day in the cold, but this can actually lead to a breakdown of your natural oils, which will only make your dryness worse. Instead, stick with comfortably warm water.
·       Moisturize more frequently: While you may be used to moisturizing twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed, it’s completely normal—and recommended—to moisturize more frequently during the winter months. Consider adding a mid-day moisturizer to your routine.
·       Dab instead of rub: If you haven’t started this yet, now is the perfect time! As it turns out, rubbing moisturizer into the skin actually results in the majority of your cream penetrating into your fingertips, not your face. Instead of rubbing, dab your moisturizer onto your face.
·       Exfoliate lightly: Exfoliate your skin, but do so sparingly and gently. Exfoliating can help combat dry skin during the winter as it removes the layer of dead skin from the surface, allowing your moisturizer to penetrate deeper into the skin. Over-exfoliating, however, can lead to more dryness and irritation. Try exfoliating once a week during the winter and consider using a professional at-home tool like the Clarisonic.

Please Say Yes To Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga: 9 Tips For Looking Your Best During And After Class

I personally have become an avid hot yoga groupie. Over the past few months I have become addicted to sweating out for 90 minutes with a room full of people while we all bow down to Namaste. Bikram is a 90-minute yoga class consisting of 26 asanas or poses, two breathing exercises. The practice is held in a room heated to 105°F with 40% humidity. Lets be honest,  by the 70 minute mark, I am passed out in the corner in steady child pose. I have to admit that after each session.. I feel amazing. Refresh and calm. Do not ask me how that is possible after sweating in places that are shocking!
While researching some tips on how to handle before/after hot yoga beauty tips, I found this great article on my new favorite website xovain.  Here is a list of the tips that I found useful:

BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS- Trust me you want to bring your own. Do you really believe that all the bleached can remove someone else hot yoga sweat? Nope, I didn't think so--bring your own.
EXFOLIATE BEFORE YOU GO TO CLASS-Winter skin is the worst, save yourself and do this before hot yoga.
WASH YOUR FACE RIGHT AFTER CLASS- I personally use the product Acure Unscented Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes. It saves my skin after a hot session.

TAKE A WARM--NOT COLD--SHOWER- it feels refreshing trust me. Just like a spa moment!

10 Coconut Oil Beauty Recipes

Ladies, let’s prep our hair & skin for spring! Chrissy wrote about understanding the chemicals in your cosmetics and, I agree with her. It is SO SO SO important to know what you put on your skin and hair. One product I’ve been obsessing over is coconut oil (I’m even cooking with it!). Coconut oil is natural and can give you soft, hydrated skin and is pretty much a beauty lifesaver.

Considering its many uses, organic coconut oil is inexpensive. I bought a jar from my local Whole Foods for $14. It’s also found at Trader Joe’s and most grocery stores. The DIY beauty recipes below only use 1-2 ingredients. The jar is huuuuge and I’ve been experimenting with its never-ending beauty uses.

Here are 10 ways you can get spring-ready hair and skin by stirring up beauty recipes in your own kitchen.

1. Lip Scrub

Mix coconut oil with raw sugar and scrub.
